l am a 15 year old girl, 103 lbs, 5'4''. l would like to get a pair of twin tip skis, but l am not sure what size or type to get. My old pair is WAY too small (they are 142, they dont even reach my chin and are wobbly when l go fast). l am intermediate / advanced, l like doing all mountain, double blacks, terrain park, about everything. What size / make sounds good?

Hmmm. When u say they r ''wobbly,'' l imagine u r experiencing some high speed chatter. You may be having trouble holding an edge, & find ur skis r washing out in high speed turns even if u r going a good job of setting ur edge.

Given that u r light, u probably do not need a particularly stiff ski. The bad news is, there is no simple answer regarding what ''brand'' to purchase. (And anyone who tells u differently does not know what they r talking about.)

The good news is, most modern shaped skis will perform very well for you. l suggest u try a variety of skis when there is a ''demo day'' at the ski resort u frequent.

You can also rent, either at a ski shop or ur ski resort. Many times, they will apply rental fees toward the eventual purchase of a set of skis.

l think u will find that a 150cm or 155cm max shaped ski should be plenty long enough to perform very well for you.

Good Luck!

P.S. Also, it never hurts to take a lesson once in a while. l still do, & believe it or not, l am still learning after all these years.

Depends on the ski / manufacturer. With what you've given I'd suggest a Solomon in about a 160-162 length or a Rossignal in about a 155-160.

im 16 and im about the same size as you are, l also ski all mountain and park. my skis are 151 but thats because l need them to be a little short for moguls, you are slightly taller than me so for you l would recommend 158 or something in that range. im not really sure what kind of ski you should get but l have k2 cabrawlers, they barely have a double tip, just enough to not die if you want to land backwards. maybe the k2 public enemy would work for you.
