I've never skied there but their school is run by John Helgesen who is a really great instructor. From what I've heard the place is not much more than a toboggan run with only one lift so it is the perfect place for a 4yr old to begin his/her ski career.
In a year or two your little one should be ready for Cascade.it is about 3hrs from Chicago just west of Madison, Wi. near the Dells
