what was your worst skiing/snowboarding accident

ooo so many to choose from.
broken wrist
concussion twice
broken fingers

my 1st ever lesson, someone turned over on their board & sliced open my forehead

my friend fell over on a dryslope & ripped apart his bum cheeks!.. alot of blood!


my best was 3 yearsago, i'd just got my seasonpass, went straight up the hill & on my first run,fell,tumbled about 100meters & snapped my ligament in my knee. could not ride again the whole season..

While skiing l was taken out by an out of control snowboarder and broke 3 ribs. That was 6 years ago and l have only skied one time since. l started skiing not to get hurt and l found l no longer enjoyed it.

I've never had any horrible ones. l am a SKIER.

The worst= One day l skipped school to go since it was a fresh powder day. For some reason it was really foggy out, so if u stood at the top of a run, u could not see past half way down, & usually less. So l went to my normal black diamonds that l have been skiing all day, & started to go down. It was all either ice or a mound of fresh powder. l am not the mogul type, but l hadled it fine, until l got to the end of the steep part & thought ''screw it, l am going straight down'' So l did. l went straight through one mogul but recovered before falling. There was another right after it that l hit. My skis almost completely stopped, & threw me foward. Since l was young at the time (04 05 season) my bindings were at a low setting, thus popped out of my skis. l landed Hands first 10 feet farther, followed by my stomache, legs then head. l kept skiing, but sprained my wrist.

l never went snowboarding before this trip with my boyfriend. on the lift we was trying to bucle my snowboard to my shoes. when we got off the lift he pushed me, trying to get me out of he way for other people! well, l slid right into a small tree. l got twisted around it and could not get up. they had the mountain ems get me untwisted. never ever again

Never had an accident but had two falls that l remember well
1) National Finals(olympic qualifier) Lake Louis.first downhill run lost ski second gate. Completely my fault.although l keep blaming the equipment lol. I'd been so worried about embarrassing myself in the slalom that l did not prepare properly for my real event. Next year did not even place at the provincials.quit skiing altogethor for almost 4yrs.
2)Skiing out of bounds at Blue Mtn took a little spill & lost my wallet(ladies & gents this is the main reason not to ski wearing blue jeans-no zippered pockets). Did not realize it was gone until I'd ordered a beer.man, l really could've used a beer, or 20, at THAT moment.

l was skiing an extremely steep wooded area at Snowbird when my ski caught a branch & flipped me upside down. The bottom of my ski was fully buried in the snow & the top was caught in a branch. Basically l was hanging upside down with my head in the snow. l thought there was a chance l would drown in the snow since l was trapped in this position. Fortunately l was able to get my head out of the snow but l was trapped in this position for several minutes. l was the last one in my group, it would have taken them twenty minutes to hike up to rescue me. Eventually l was able to recover a pole & release my binding. The injury was minor, but l left the mountain immediately after the incident.
