I was told that there are only 3 alpine bindings that can be used with the K2 Phat Luv skis. Recommendation

l do not know if that is true or not. My guess would be that it is not. But for the purpose of ur question of binder recommendations for Phat Luvs, consider Fritschi Diamir Alpine Touring Bindings. My wife uses them on Phat Luvs & wo not use anything else. She throws skins in her day ski pack & we're in & out of the resort boundaries all day long. Of course, Alta Ski Area has open boundaries so that makes easy access to backcountry terrain. Whether skiing in the area or out, the Fritschi is work swell for her, though.

Bunk!.A good ski shop will be able to mount anything on them. This is what riser plates r for. K2 loves to throw the BS about what binding to use for it is skis. It is somewhat true with the telemark skis (although the debate about the core strength rages on) but with the AT & DH skis there should never be a problem.

l tele now, but l am still a big fan of Salomon 800 & 900 series bindings. ( l think they still make those lines.)

Bottom line, take the skis to a shop. Find the bindings she likes. Ask the tech to SHOW how the jig fits the skis. If the jig fits well over the mounting area tell him to drill it!
