l will working as a ski guide so want good on piste carving skies for everyday use. l already have a pair of K2 PE's, so just want these carvers to be purely for carving on piste at both speed and gentle cruising. My budget is £300-£600. Any advice on this would be great.

l prefer the K2 skis so l will say either the Sidewinder or the Crossfire from this years line will be what you are looking for. You can also look at some Head in their high performance skis or Fischer has some that will carve a fine line. l have given up on the French brands, l seem to have problems with their bindings or the ski seems to break down awful soon.

The Head im 76 Monster. l skiied on these last spring at a demo day, and they are an easy turning, great in soft snow, and ballsy enough for the tough stuff. The perfect ''working'' ski. l think they retail with the railflex binding for about $1000 CAN.

Volkl ac30 unlimited. It is the best ski l have ever used and it is perfect for groomed cruisers or digging in on some steeps it also works great in powder and is perfect for any part of the mountain, l highly reccomend it.
