l am also L2, and what I've used for years is a series of kick turns until the short skiis came out. l now use a point the toe swing of the leg around the the body to loosen the hip/femur socket, if this does not help, l move to a double pole plant and ski between them in a series of linked turns. There is no way that the hip can rotate through the turn when the body is blocked with a double pole plant.
If you need more details, please ask again.
