you can always adjust the bindings or even replace them with a pair that will fit your boots. If you do not know what you are doing then let a professional help you. That is always the best and safest route.

Yes It might even look easy to DIY but save yourself the trouble & trip to the emergency room. Drop ur boots & skis off at the tech shop. You can even wait until the morning u plan on skiing. the hills tech shop can do this in less than 10minutes & wo not charge anymore than a few bucks, if anything, to do this for you. By the time you've sipped ur first hot chocolate ur skis r ready to hit the snow & u can forgo the risk of injury from improperly mounted bindings
The tech shop at my hill charges $15 to adjust bindings & test setting with vermont din tester. $25 for a complete remount-meaning bindings r not mounted on a flex-rail & new holes have to be drilled & old holes refilled

The answer is yes.
But, judging from your question l think you could endanger yourself if you do it yourself. Do NOT mess with bindings unless you really know what you are doing. You need to know where and how to mount them correctly and safely, how to adjust all the settings on both toe and heel pieces, etc. Just a little mistake can make you break the bindings, the skis, and your legs.
Be safe and let the trained professionals do it for you.

What kind of boots do you have. How old are they? If your boots are really old then they wo not work with the newer bindings as the heel and toe are sized differently now.
You are probably going to have to go to the shop to get the bindings worked on if they are too close or far apart.

Yes You can, in the back of each binding there is a little screw, you can turn it to make them larger or smaller. but remember how many clicks, so that you make both sides even.

Maybe is the only answer that can be accurate with this information. Many bindings now r mounted on riser plates that r predrilled for different boot sizes, then they can be easily remounted without a problem. A special type of screwdriver is needed to work on the bindings, & the best shops will probably charge about $25-$40 to do the work. If ur boots r too old, they will no longer meet DIN standards & will not work with the bindings as they should. The modern binding system is designed to prevent unnecessary damage to ur leg or ankle or knee & is an integral system that has improved skier safety world wide. Do not work on ur own bindings unless u r a trained & certified binding technician. Some makes of bindings have more range adjustment than others. Atomic has a long length adjustment, Look, & Rossignol r very short, Tyrolia/Head, & Marker have a medium range. Hope this helps.

The Skis bindings will adjust a little bit by sliding the heel piece forward or backward. you should take the skis and boots to a skis shop and they will adjust them for you. If your boots are close to the same size as the previous owner, it will only take a couple minutes and a few bucks. The bindings may have to be remounted if your boots are too big or small. This will cost around $40 or $50. you usually have to drop the skis off and pick them up later.
