It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much easier to learn how to ski than to snowboard (i've done both) and it is easier to do tricks on a snowboard ( l think)

You should have no problems starting to ski. It is pretty easy compared to snowboarding. It depends on the tricks, but I'd say they are about the same difficulty, skis are a little easier on big air, and snowboards are much easier on rails etc. If your looking at twin-tips for just park, I'd go with the k2 fugitive, pretty cheap and good. If you plan on going all-around, I'd choose the Public Enemy is they're definitely my favorites. K2 are always good. Good Luck!

I've been teaching skiing for 40+ years, and watching beginners from both branches, the learning curve is very close. The skiers seem to have an advantage for the first 2-4 hours then the snowboarders gain skills. After about 6-8 hours, it seems to be up to the individuals skill and ability.

Definitely,my answer is ski.
In order to do some tricks on skis, you need to have all ur body in a right position, l mean even if ur hand is placed wrong it fails. The body position, the right turning, how to enter a ramp, how to land..Definitely ski..How u ski off piste, deep powders..
With snowboard the good thing is that u gain experience & u can call yourself a good boarder in less time than ski..
Theres always something u dont know & have to train on it..
Hope that helped :)
I've tried both, l am only a skier though..And still.. l have many things to learn..
l may not have a 40 years teaching experience, l can ski,I've tasted snowboard & l know..

SNOWBOARD! you do not have to coordinate both feet as much since they move as one, and it also looks cooler on snowboards! :)
