l am thinking about going for a week-long ski trip with my uncle during Spring Break (Late March) in CO and was looking for some recommendations from a skiier is point of view. We are black/double black skiiers, but we will ski the simple stuff every once in a while. Here are some of our preferences:

-A variety of terrain is best (the bigger the better)

-Lots of (at least) somewhat challenging terrain (sorry Steamboat, that excludes you!).

-Little/no crowds and lines.

-Amenities are not a priority, we're just here for the skiing. However, a ski in-ski out accessible mountain would be nice.

Well, that is about it. The only other issue l have is that our budget needs to be as low as possible. Also, l have already skied Vail, so I'd like to try something different. As of now, Telluride seems to best fit my criteria, but l need some recommendations from the locals. Thanks in advance for any !

There is only one resort l have skied in CO, but l would HIGHLY recommend it, Crested Butte. It has a great variety of terrain for a real skier. Big mountain, chill atmosphere, an extreme skier reputaion type of mountain. l have always wanted to go back. And from what l hear from a lot of CO skiers, they love this place. l have skied a lot of big mountains in the US. Jackson Hole, Park City, Snowbird, Mammoth, Squaw. This is right up there.

l think Breckenridge is your place to go. You have the three? mountains to ski plus you can get a shuttle to Arapaho and Keystone. Arapaho is the highest and a great challenge.

its unlikely you will get a real low price but if you go to the resort at the right time, Arapahoe Basin , Aspen Snowmass , cooper, breckenridge

In fourth grade my dad took me to Beaver Creek to learn how to ski. It was a lot of food, the area was great, & the ski schools were excellent. The downside to Beaver Creek is that it is about two hours away from Denver, & the highway u take to get there sometimes gets shut down because of avellanche warnings.

Might l suggest Utah? Park City is my favorite place to ski/snowboard. Deer Valley is for just skiiers so that is a great place, & The Canyons is the largest ski/snowboard place in North America. They're also just 30 minutes from the airport. Park City is amazingly fun & u will love it! They've also recieved 9+ feet of snow this winter!
