If you want inexpensive, you should see about a bit before or after the holidays & keep the kids out of school. Christamas time is MOST resorts biggest time of the winter & prices usually are at a premium

That is going to be very tough to find, l guess no where is going to have great deals, but l would definately try to go to a place where one ticket gets multiple places like Keystone Breck and A-Basin that way you will get variety. Buy tickets in advance for multiple days so you will get somewhat of a discount. l have not been to Montana but l have heard they have some good mountains that are a little cheaper or even Lutsen in Minnesota, but mind you its not the Rockies

It depends largely on where you are located as airfare will probably be the biggest cost this year for skiers who travel.

We go to Salt Lake City. The offer a lot of packages that include a variety of ski areas, hotels, etc.

In New England its been some time but Sunday River in Maine used to have a very good reputation with families.
