Aspen Highlands is a pretty good choice for mid level skiers & riders. It has a good mix of moderate trails & wide open slopes.
Aspen Mountain (Ajax) is another story. It is steeper & the trails r narrower. A fair number of the trails r shaded in the early season so they can be a little icy at times.
Snowmass is a great mountain that is sometimes called the ''gentle giant'' It has more quantity of open & moderate terrain than Highlands & it is got good sun exposure. Great Place!!
