l am 14 and im about 5'5'' and weigh like 115lbs. l am and advanced skier and l live in new england so l ski a lot of hard pack. l need a new pair of skis(i want twin tips for terrain park) that are around 160-165cm. l need the skis to be versatile though because l only do the terrain park with my friends in ski club so l need the skis to be able to handle hard runs like double blacks. Also if you have suggestions and bindings and poles that could fit into this that would be great. thank you.
also l am not looking for the newest skis(09) they can be like 08 is or even 07's. like skis in the $200-$300 price range

Since u will be skiing a lot of hard snow, u wo not want a park specific model. An all mountain twin would be ur best bet & with ur light weight it should not be too long or too stiff. The top rated all mountain twin by Freeskier magazine for '09 is the Volkl ''Wall'' This is a really good all mountain ski even though it has a symmetrical sidecut. Another very good ski is the K2 Public Enemy (now known as the ''Extreme'' for '09)

A good value all mountain twin at a great price is the Dynastar Troublemaker limited.

Bindings can be a personal preference but there r good models available from all the major manufacturers such as Look, Marker, & Salomon. Poles really r not too important but avoid the cheapest aluminum ''bargain'' poles. If u fall on those doing a trick in the park or skiing the powder, they will probably bend. A light fiberglass or carbon fiber pole will be more durable in that it wo not bend like a metal pole can.

Here r a couple of skis to check out...

Edit to add....the best value l know of is that Dynastar '08 Troublemaker. It is in Freeskier is top 5 or 6 picks for '09. (The 08 is the same ski as the '09 just a different graphic)

The K2 & Line have some good choices, almost any twin tip will handle the parks, some better than others. For the out of park terrain u need an all mountain cruiser with a firm flex pattern. Take ur boots with u when shopping for the package. Get checked for cants & ramp that u r comfortable using. When the ramp is chosen, u can find a set of bindings to match & have shims added to make the final adjustments. If u like lots of ramp then the Look brand will fit the bill, Ess/Atomic have a nearly flat ramp, Marker & Tyrolia r in between. l personaaly ski best with a flat ramp & have my Tyrolias shimmed to accomplish that. Until u have been on the different modifications u r limiting ur abilities to peak performance. Even 1/2 a millimeter can change how u ski & how ur feet hurt or don't.
As to ski poles, they need to be of good quality, but not a top race type. A good pair will last many years unless u manage to fall on them & destroy them. Shop the sales for some brands that r on sale & if u want to have a special pair, try a can of spray paint. At the top levels of skiing the ski pole is as critical as any other part of the package except ur boots. At other levels, like my teaching beginners & intermediates, any of my beaters r fine. Have fun, enjoy.
