Skiing in Bulgaria you can not beat it and it is very very cheap.

1st timers l would say Austria or Bulgaria resorts like Mayrhofen and soll in austria or pamporovo in Bulgaria are good. Thomson ski will also do you a good deal on a group ski break for 8 or more adults.

Have you tried Black Forest in Germany, its not as expensive as Switzerland or other European countries.

Italy is the best skiing destination! Arabba, San Candido or if you a cheap destination you can try with Alleghe and Falcade!

Wengen, Switzerland is where l would recommend u spend ur holiday. This charming alpine village has become a popular tourist destination, & nearby Interlaken is quite a cute city to look around. By car, it is about 1 hr from the Bern airport, & about 2.5 hrs by train. It is about 2.5 hrs by car & 3 hrs by train from the Zurich airport. l recommend u take a car so that u may then tour around neighboring valleys & towns with greater ease. Interlaken is a very interesting city & is one of the oldest tourist desinations in Switzerland as well as Europe. To get to Wengen, u can either drive or take the train to Lauterbrunnen, which is nestled in the bottom of a deep valley, & where u must leave ur car in a (very safe) parking structure. Then, u take a little train up to Wengen, which is perched on a cliff high above the valley with the Alps rising above it. There r countless little hotels, chalets, & apartements for rent in town. Once in Wengen, u can literally step out ur door & step into ur skis, since there r no cars in town & the ski lifts r right next to the Co-Op. The skiing is amazing, & as u may know Wengen has been the location of the famous annual Lauberhorn ski race since 1930. The Lauberhorn is the longest race in the FIS world cup circuit & is definitely the most scenic, in my opinion. As for sight-seeing, u can take a cog train up to the Jungfrau, the Top of Europe, which rises to 4158 m above sea level. Once up there, the view of the glacier & mountain range is absolutely breathtaking & there is much to do, including dogsled rides, snow hikes to nearby chalets, panoramic views, dining, cross country skiing, ice castles, & more.

Go to Chamonix. It is close to Geneva (and the airport) which is a beautiful city to look round as well.

Innsbruck - Austria - Great in the snow - many resorts nearby - easily accessible by mountain railway or bus.

Just 2 days skiing - is it really worth it?
